Members cannot vote for their own prints.
Voting papers not completed in accordance with these rules will be null
and void in the section concerned.
Where an individual is invited to judge a competition he/she will be asked
to place the first ten in order. If there are fewer than ten prints, he/she
will be asked to place those entered in order.
No print previously shown in a monthly print competition will be eligible
for any subsequent monthly print competition but may be entered in the Annual
Exhibition, George Saville Trophy or any other non-points scoring competition.
The committee is empowered to vary the competition rules according to conditions.
COLOUR SLIDES
Each slide competition will be open to all members of the Society. The taking
of a photograph must be the sole work of the competitor but the film may
be home or trade processed.
All entries must be titled and "spotted" by placing a clearly
visible contrasting spot at the lower left hand corned of the slide mount
when the slide is viewed by hand. The slide should be titled but the authors
name must not be on the slide.
Not more than three slides from any one person can be entered in any competition.
Members present will each vote for their choice of 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed
slide.
Members may not vote for their own entries.
The first ten slides will be given points from ten to one.
If there are fewer than ten slides in a competition, points will still commence
at ten.
Voting papers not completed in accordance with these rules will be null
and void.
No slide entered in a monthly competition will be eligible for any subsequent
monthly competition, but may be entered in the Annual Competition, the George
Saville and any non-points scoring competition.
The committee is empowered to vary the rules according to conditions.
